Creating Posts
Step-by-step guide to creating content in the post editor.
Creating a post involves adding media, writing your caption, selecting accounts, and choosing when to publish. This guide walks through each step.
Step 1: Add Your Media
Drag and drop files directly into the media area, or click to browse.
Supported Formats
| Type | Formats | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Images | JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF | Up to 10 per post |
| Videos | MP4, MOV | One per post, up to 60 minutes |
Arranging Multiple Images
When you add multiple images, they become a carousel. Drag to reorder — the first image is what appears in feeds before users swipe.
Editing Media
Click the edit icon on any image to open the design editor:
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Crop | Platform-specific ratios |
| Text overlays | Add text to images |
| Filters | Apply visual effects |
| Brand assets | Use fonts and colors from Brand Kit |
Instagram Feed Crop
For Instagram posts, set a custom crop that determines how the image appears in your grid. This is separate from the full image users see when they tap.
Step 2: Write Your Caption
The caption editor supports rich text formatting and smart features.
AI Caption Assistance
Click the Luna button to get AI-powered suggestions:
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Generate Ideas | Fresh caption options based on your media |
| Improve | Enhance your existing caption |
| Add Hashtags | Suggest relevant hashtags |
| Translate | Convert to another language |
Character Limits
Each platform has different limits. The editor shows your count and warns when approaching limits:
| Platform | Limit |
|---|---|
| 2,200 | |
| 63,206 | |
| 3,000 | |
| X (Twitter) | 280 (25,000 Premium) |
| TikTok | 2,200 |
Dynamic Variables
For Hub broadcasts, use variables to personalize content for each location:
{{location.name}} → Workspace name
{{location.city}} → City
{{location.state}} → State/Province
{{location.phone}} → Phone number
{{location.address}} → Full address
Example:
Visit us at {{location.name}} in {{location.city}}!
Each workspace sees their own information when the post publishes.
Step 3: Select Accounts
Click the account selector to choose where this post goes.
For Workspace Users
You'll see all your connected accounts. Check the ones you want to include. You can post to multiple platforms simultaneously — Flamel handles the formatting differences automatically.
For Hub Broadcasts
When creating a broadcast, you're selecting account types rather than specific accounts. Selecting "Instagram" means the post goes to the Instagram account of every workspace that has one connected.
You can filter which workspaces receive the broadcast:
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| All Workspaces | Everyone gets it |
| Specific Groups | Only certain franchisee groups |
| Selected Workspaces | Hand-pick individual franchisees |
Step 4: Configure Platform Settings
Each platform has unique options. See Platform Settings for detailed information on each platform's specific options.
Step 5: Schedule or Publish
Choose when your post goes live.
Publish Now
Click Publish to post immediately. Content goes to all selected accounts within seconds.
Schedule for Later
Click Schedule to pick a future date and time. The calendar shows your existing scheduled content so you can find a good slot.
Scheduling tips:
- Consider your audience's time zone
- Avoid overlapping with other scheduled posts
- Check Analytics to find your best posting times
Save as Draft
Click Save Draft to save your work without scheduling. Find it later in Drafts.
Post Preview
Before publishing, preview how your post will look on each platform.
The preview shows:
- Exact appearance in feeds
- How carousels will display
- Video thumbnails
- Caption truncation
Click through each platform tab to verify everything looks right.
