Data Views
Different perspectives on your advertising performance data.
The analytics section offers multiple views to answer different questions. Each view slices your data differently, revealing insights that might be hidden in aggregate numbers.
Overview
The overview provides the summary dashboard — total spend, aggregate results, trend lines.
Use Overview for:
- Quick health checks
- High-level reporting
- Spotting major trends
- Executive summaries
The overview answers: "How is advertising performing overall?"
By Campaign
This view breaks performance down by campaign, letting you see which campaigns are delivering and which are struggling.
What You'll See
| Data Point | Insight |
|---|---|
| Campaign name | Identify each campaign |
| Spend | Budget consumption |
| Results | Conversions or goal completions |
| Cost per result | Efficiency comparison |
| Status | Active, paused, completed |
How to Use It
Compare efficiency. Sort by cost per result to identify your most efficient performers. These campaigns deserve more budget.
Identify problems. Campaigns with high spend but poor results need attention. Consider pausing, adjusting targeting, or refreshing creative.
Allocate budget. Move budget from underperformers to top performers to maximize overall efficiency.
By Ad Set
This view drills into targeting performance within campaigns. Ad sets define who sees your ads, so this view reveals which audiences deliver best.
What You'll See
Each ad set's performance including:
- Targeting description
- Audience size
- Spend allocation
- Results and efficiency
How to Use It
Find valuable audiences. If one ad set has dramatically better cost per result, that audience is more valuable and might deserve more budget.
Test targeting hypotheses. Compare different audience definitions to learn what works for your business.
Optimize allocation. Shift budget toward ad sets that deliver results efficiently.
Example Insights
| Ad Set | Cost per Result | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Women 25-34, interests | $8 | Scale up |
| Men 35-44, broad | $24 | Pause or narrow |
| Lookalike 1% | $12 | Maintain |
By Creative
This view reveals which ads resonate best. Even within the same targeting, different images and copy can have wildly different performance.
What You'll See
Performance broken down by:
- Ad creative (image/video thumbnail)
- Headline and copy
- CTR and engagement
- Results and cost per result
How to Use It
Identify winners. Find the creative that performs best and understand why. Is it the image? The headline? The offer?
Retire underperformers. Creative that doesn't resonate should be paused to stop wasting impressions.
Inform future creative. Apply learnings from winners to new ads you create.
Creative Performance Signals
| Signal | What It Means |
|---|---|
| High CTR, low conversion | Clickable but not compelling offer |
| Low CTR, high conversion | Effective but not attention-grabbing |
| High CTR, high conversion | Winner — scale this |
| Low CTR, low conversion | Replace immediately |
By Day
This view shows performance over time, helping you spot trends, identify when performance changed, and correlate shifts with changes you made.
What You'll See
Daily metrics including:
- Date
- Spend
- Impressions and reach
- Results
- Efficiency metrics
How to Use It
Spot trends. Is performance improving or declining over time?
Identify inflection points. When did metrics change significantly? What happened that day?
Correlate with changes. Did you change creative, targeting, or budget? How did metrics respond?
Common Patterns
| Pattern | Possible Cause |
|---|---|
| Gradual decline | Ad fatigue, audience saturation |
| Sudden drop | Technical issue, competitive pressure |
| Weekend dips | Audience behavior changes |
| End-of-month spikes | Seasonality, payday effects |
